Thanks for the links. That's sad news that I've been expecting for some time there in Turku (aka Åbo) and also an indication about how the MS political movement might react to threats in other regions such as Massachusetts.

The press in most countries, unfortunately, has been a little more than passively supporting the M$ agenda to varying degrees, though nothing outright active enough to call them on. It's a much harder situation next door in Sweden where the ideology has taken a much stronger grip.

For context, YLE is largely responsible for all of Finnish broadcasting. That's not quite accurate, but close enough.

A disturbing bit of background on the Jungner case is that some very experienced, very qualified candidates were passed over for the job and the appointment of Jungner was apparently steamrolled in at an odd time.

In order for OOo to prevail in governments and state agencies in more than a niche market, it may be necesssary to address the issue of "kotiryssä" in governments. For example, Norway and others have at least one each highly placed former exec or lobbyist. There are also the offical ambassadors, whose role is less a subject of speculation:
