Hi,
I am aware that the reason for OpenOffice.org being named OpenOffice.org
and not just OpenOffice is that someone somewhere own some rights to the
name OpenOffice. Couldn't we try to contact that guy and ask what the
price would be to make him give up those rights? Even if he wants a lot
of money it could still be reasonable to ask some of OpenOffice.org's
sponsors to pay it. From a marketing perspective it would surely be
wonderful if we were allowed to call the product just OpenOffice.
