Thank you a lot for this news update. Usually, NL projects post this
kind of updates on [email protected] as well. They are
requested to post once a month what's going on in their project. Please,
feel free to do it (on this list as well) as much as you want!
I have included part of your mail in the Newsletter blog.
As Louis pointed out, although NL projects have been requested to report
on their activities, they have always been more or less discouraged to
so; the process is tedious and sometimes long. However, focusing on
marketing activities may be more interesting. What do you think? Do you
have any plans about this and marketing in Netherlands?

As a note, I would like to suggest Steven Pauwels that he may want to
join the Dutch project and work on marketing for the Belgium area...

Best,
Charles.

Hi Charles,

My concerns with the marketing for OOo are nor merely to the belgian market. I think that there is a need for global marketing support to give OOo a push to the market. As I pointed out earlier, I can joint the Dutch project to help with translations, eg. No probs there. But I also believe that I can use my knowledge and experience to provide what I do to everyone in the community. I believe that marketing, even for a OS product, should be top-down approach, guided trough a bottom-up concensus on the plan. As from a somehow less fuzzy marketing situation, all efforts done for any area can and will be more effective. Thank you for the suggestion however, I will keep you informed on my decission :)

Steven P.
