[email protected] is - by far - the main list for people to talk in
general about OOo. It is the "catchall" list where you can talk about
features you think should be added to OOo, or taken away, or ways to improve
the project, or things you think are cool about OOo or open source or stuff
like that.

[email protected] is - by far - the main list for traffic, answers to
users questions, and way too many FAQ and "OMG! PEOPLE ARE SELLING OOO ON
[EMAIL PROTECTED]@~~" garbage. If you want to help people use OOo, then
Users@ is the place for you.

[email protected] is the main list for Marketing stuff. Some of
the things you've talked about are not directly related to marketing. Those
things belong in Discuss@ or some other list. Some of the distinctions can
be up for intereptation, but generally, if you're asked by more than one
person to move a thread to a different list, you probably should do so.

[email protected] is where we go to yell at each other when people get
sick of reading it on the other lists.

Many other lists exists, some with very specific purposes.

IMHO there are to many lists :) far to many.

I agree - but that's part of open source, forking upon forking upon yet
anothering.... I mean Discuss@ was created to handle stuff that didn't fit
elsewhere - social@ was created to handle stuff that didn't fit on discuss@
