How about we create an Index page for Marketing?

The Marketing--INCUBATOR page was intended as a first page to start
writing things that are not already categorized.
An incubator is a very good idea. Though I'd like to suggest a
modification: When you already know the category, and it exists, you can
put the page there directly.
I know that it's hard to find a balance between keeping order and giving
peple tools and flexibility. And comming from CVS and IZ, a wiki can be
intimidating. But let's try an experiment. Let's pick lenient rules, and
see how it goes. It might work well, or it might not. Either way we'll
learn something. And if things go crazy, we can change the rules and I
volunteer to help with the cleanup.
So, in brief, these are the rules I'd suggest:
<rules>
HOW TO CONTRIBUTE A NEW PAGE
Q1: Do you know what category your page will go on?
NO => Put it in the [[Incubator]]
YES=> Next question
Q2: Does this category already exist? (See [[Index]]).
NO => Put the page in the [[Incubator]].
Ask on-list about creating the new category.
YES=> Next question
Q3: Is there a similar page already listed in the [[Index]]?
YES=> Contribute to that page, don't make a duplicate.
NO => Next question
Q4: Is there similar work already in the [[Incubator]]?
YES=> Contribute to that work, don't make a duplicate.
Ask on-list about moving it to a category.
NO => Follow these steps:
STEP 1: Put a link to the page on the [[Index]] first.
STEP 2: THEN go ahead and create the page.
</rules>
Those are not too long. The most important thing is that they are clear
and easy to follow.
Cheers,
Daniel.
