Along those lines, FLOSS is probably in quite good standing especially compared to MS. 'permatemps' are just one example.

The reputations of the FLOSS companies and their treatment of employees can be a marketing advantage.

Run ten or fifteen campaigns of a similar nature, that appear to be
independent, but are not, and the perception of the general public is
that FLOSS is unethical or illegal to use.

Ten or fifteen such campaigns without the competition making itself heard will have that effect.
