I wasn't aware of this possibilty. Who receives the money? Sun? And how is it ensured that the mony goes to OOo? Is there a separate account for this, and can we see how the money is spend, if any donations are actually received?
I have often felt that the lack of a marketing budget for OOo was one of the greatest obstacles for its spreading. Some marketing funding would be really nice to have. Actually, I happen to know a couple of companies and organizations here i Denmark, who would be willing to help. But of course they would want some kind of documentation for what what the money would actually be used for. They wouldn't want to just put the moneny into Sun's pocket.
