I think you misunderstood me about that a bit. ;-) The
ooo_current_120x60.png would just be a link pointing the current
campains actual button. This way you just need to update the link with
every new campain and the button will automatically update on every
site
that links to us.
I.e. if xyz.com links to us with the "current" button, it will show a
get legal button as long as the get legal campain is running, but as
soon as we change to keep the car, it will show a keep the car button.
I actually think we need both. A generic "I Love OOo Find Out Why"
button will find favour with those who like nice simple stuff on
their pages.
Meanwhile, a lump of JavaScript that results in the button changing
to the current campaign button each time it changes (like the
seasonal promotion buttons Amazon supplies its affinity programme
members for example) would go a long way to ensuring each campaign
gets wide coverage without depending on us all changing our web sites
on demand.
