Does the marketing group have an IRC channel - or are all topics discussed on 
the list?

OpenOffice.org has its IRC channel: irc://irc.freenode.net/#OpenOffice.org

However, most people only read the lists, and there we have an archive. 
For discussions, I therefore prefer the lists. :-)
