Hi,
I remember there was a marketing inspiring 'open sessions' handled on
IRC which was about having talks all over the community.
This were pretty succesful but unfortunately the organizer (Daniel
Carrera) is less active in this community.
It would be nice to have that back, perhaps this is the first wishlist
to our NEW marketing co-lead.
thanks for the pointer. ;-) Well, of course, this might be an idea.
Seems those sessions were before I got active, because I didn't know
much about them.
From my POV, I don't use IRC very often, and the few sessions I took
part in, well, they were successfull, but caused a lot of "overload", so
I still prefer the mailing lists. We have archives there, people can
react when they have time and so on. IRC is for emergencies, like an
ongoing release, when you have to coordinate things.
However, of course, if people want it, I support it and will take part.
So, my questions to the list:
- Are you interested in such IRC meetings?
- What would be your favorite topics?
- What time would you prefer (please use GMT time, if possible)?
