This is the plan, there will be a Lightning version available, the same as we plan to bundle with StarOffice.
are there also plans to bundle or at least link to it from OOo 3? Maybe at the end of the setup? I don't know if we should go this far, as we never did that before with other products out of good reasons - however, this doesn't prevent us from linking to it prominently from our website.
I am in contact with David Ascher (CEO Mozilla MailCo) and with the Mozilla Thunderbird engineering. They like the idea for a cross promotion, so we should get the backing from MailCo, too.

I'd leave that up to the local MarCons, but we can at least provide them with material. For my area (Germany), I'd definitely go for it. In fact, on trade shows, we already advertise the combination of TB+Lightning+OOo.

I know Jane as well, we chat every now and then. ;-) A ConfCall would be a good idea. I'm not available until July, so let's wait what others think and then we maybe could arrange a ConfCall with some OOo people and some from Mozilla to do some brainstorming?
