Here is a SVG logo of OOo based on an some structure I saw from

I could imagine, that there might be possibilities to approve a
warped original OOo logo - even if this approval will need very
good reasons.
But your logo modified the position of the gulls and doesn't keep
the rounded dots of the original logo. Even if the color can be
corrected, I don't think that this logo can get approval to be used
in public.
This is not a logo, but an artwork, the logo is not required to be in
here except maybe the footer of the image for legal reasoning.
Thanks for sharing your point of view.
In my eyes it's a modified logo - but as long as the trademark policy is
not finished, I don't want to discuss this in extenso.
I'll try to find a way to include a clear definition in the trademark
policy what is allowed to represent OOo by visual means and what is not.
Plus it doesnt make sense to do a new logo if you are not able to
modify the original logo (we are already modifying the logo by adding
things).
Any new logo will need to get approval by the community before it is
allowed to be used in public. Additions to the present logo are
restricted to special events or single case approvals - this will be
part of the new policy too.
In all cases the request didn't had any requirements or restrictions
when requested so it shouldn't really have any problems now to be
used.
As I have not been involved in the approval of this request, I can't
comment on this part. As far as I know John and Florian include in their
approval the necessity to use the logo without modification.
Best regards
Bernhard
