I will have a look and file one if needed. However, while testing out the workaround of putting everything in the dependencyManagement tag, I bumped into the next problem: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRELEASE-240 If I release the parent POM including a release POM, the whole dependencyManagement section is dropped!!! More and more, I find Maven's internals very inconsistent...
