I'd personally vote for post-release accepted in apache, we rev to 0.3.1
and when we decide to do another release we decide if we should
point-release or bump to 0.4.0 based on the environment at the time.  I
still think that we are small enough of a project that we can get away
maintaining master as the next most specific release.

Mentors, do you guys have any advice in this regard?
