Now that 2.0.9 is out, we have many users that have already change their code to fit with the broken interface. If we rollback this change, we will break again the API, and we will upset tehm once more. The alternative would be to have two 2.0.10 branches, which would be a total mess... Sadly, the change which broke the API for 2.0 was done months ago, and we probably can assume that we must carry on at this point, as I don't see any way to mitigate the pb without hurting more our current 2.0.8/2.0.9 users... wdyt ?
