thanks a lot Mats for your email. I agree almost everything what you sayd,
but actually I think that even if migrating to "free" formats would not
means big benefits for most of the people, they should start realizing not
everything is Windows and what rotate around it..

...and thanks William for the codecs how-to translation! I will try it
hopefully tonight and let you know, thanks again :)

William, I see you are using a broadcom wi-fi too, does it work for you on
moblin 2.1 after installing all the latest updates? it doesn't here and even
repeating all the slaine tutorial steps I can't get it to work again. in
particular the command:
*sudo yum groupinstall “Development Tools”*
doesn't work anymore, it has no candidates to install, but I could install
the development tools from the gui and were able to proceed with the
tutorial, build and install the rpm, but still the wi fi is not
recognized.. :(

thans bye!

For avi and many other video files I translated a "How-To" on installing
gstreamer codecs from a site in Spanish. It can be found on my blog
anopensourcemind.blogspot.com.

Worked for me, hopefully it will work for others as well.
