I've shown this to a couple other engineers, and they've also been surprised by
the current behaviore of use-latest-release ignoring the unreleased SNAPSHOT
versions -- they suggested that I file this bug report in the first place. Why
are you adverse to changing the non-default behavior of that mojo?
I'd be happy to implement this, fwiw.
