I am under the impression subversion gave us the ability to know if there had been any changes. Doesn't browsing the repo online give a definitive answer for mod dates? Here's what I do know. The bug for 1368 was committed to shared after the 1.1.4 branch was created. But because the core branch still depended on shared trunk, the bug ended up appearing in the release candidate. Maybe I am missing something here, but I don't see why we can't just change the core 1.1.4 branch to depend on a branch for shared that was created ( or could be created ) at the same time. >Also, as you mentioned, we need a unit test for this to see if >whatever we do fixes things.
