I think a user mailing list would be a GoodIdea(tm).

As a first time 'user' I was initially reluctant to post to the 'dev'
mailing list to ask a question which I thought wasn't strictly
'developer/design/architecture'
related.

It turned out your all a friendly and very helpful bunch, so all was cool
even after going thru what I thought was the wrong door :)
