AFAIK there are a whole bunch of different scripts used. Devanagari,
kannada, malayalam, abugida, .... So you need to be a little more specific (or I am mixing things up - I'm not
an expert :-)

This is the one for Hindi that I need ;) Devanagari and Hindi can use the same script.

by a Debian (Unbutu) system.
Do you know where I can find this font ?

I once stumbled over the following site which is quite useful:
http://www.alanwood.net/unicode/fonts.html

You may check sil.org as well.

Thanks for the links, I'll check what I can find.

More this is often that I'm asked where to find CJK or CTL fonts under Linux, may be that should be a resource to have somewhere on NL or L10n site ? What do you think ?

You find the fonts for linux at the same place you find the fonts for
windows... There's no difference.

The difficulty is to know where to find them (when you have limited connection) and which one is working well with Linux and Windows and OOo between all what you find on the net.
But once we have find how to activate this font, I'll do a FAQ with several links.

Thanks for your answer
Kind regards
Sophie
