Thanks Jeremy. I'm on Windows and I've suspected all along that may have something to do with it. I'm also - like you - using the bundled Maven version, i.e. v3.6.3. I must admit I haven't looked into if my IntelliJ IDEA is using the same but please note that I've fixated the Surefire plugin version in the POM so Maven version should not really make a difference IMO.
I'll do some more testing. Fantastic if someone else can test on Windows too. Thanks.
