But what is the difference? In general, I agree with you. This thread has gone on a bit of a tangent, which is about a default that works better out of the box. I don't think we need a dialog for this option. I do think we need to fix up the current dialogs, and probably look at putting some of this stuff on a revamped start page. However, the problem with putting options in the installers is the assumption that everyone uses them. And that there's a one-to-one relationship between installation and userdir. Neither applies. Whatever we do should work however people get hold of and run the IDE. I also think NBI either needs a lot of work or replacing.
