No idea! I, for one, hope we can move to this by NB17.

What is a definite is that NB17 freezes and branches Jan ~15th. We
require a configured and populated plugin catalog for NB17 *before*
that date.

100% And we need to improve verification speed of bug fixes. We may
also want to consider how to notify people if a previously verified
plugin has discovered issues and no update is yet available? eg. we
had multiple issues reported for NetBeans that traced to BinEd plugin
behaviour - this was made worse because the fixed version wasn't
expedited (for whatever reason) via the plugin centre.

My view on verification is that if a previously verified plugin
version stops working between eg. NB15 and NB16, there's a chance,
probably a higher chance, it's because something is broken in the IDE
not the plugin! Let's encourage more plugin testing during the
month-long RC phase.

And as an aside, we should possibly consider asking users for a list
of installed plugins on the issue report form.

Best wishes,

Neil
