I was thinking that we might want to be more explicit on the required steps before voting - eg. quoting those Apache requirements, and potentially adding specific ones of our own if/when required. I'm in two minds about the convenience binary being a convenience! ;-) If it's no use for voting, it's probably better not on the vote thread. OTOH, getting more eyes on it / allowing non-binding votes based on it might be a good thing? Anyway, thoughts for the future - on to testing rc2!
