Yes, your are right. This is not nutch core functionality. But where do we add
these supporting tools, like you say we can consider them as contrib
components. I think that readdb and readlinkdb are also surpporting tools for
nutch. I don't know how to deal with this situation in other Apache project
like Solr,Hadoop, or etc.
