I have added 'Global resource pool' to the wishlist:

I also think that having a kind of client / server architecture is a key
feature of such a tool. This would allow a centralised management of
resources were managers and "developpers" could share a common planning.

I think version 1.0 would need to be desktop based or we'll probably never get a product out the door. However as the product is architected, we will want to keep in mind that some users will want to go to a client server model.

Client server has tremendous benefits. At the moment, most of use just client server apps or web apps for almost everything except project management. When it comes to project management, most of us are mailing around MS-Project files and letting the Project Manager do rollups.

Client server would let us:
-have multiple people doing updates to a single plan
-global resource tracking
-advanced automated reporting
-constant visibility of the latest plan (instead of asking the PM for the latest plan on his laptop)

Yup, an architecture which will support client server users would pay a lot of dividends.

Regards,
Shawn
