Some more ideas which are really important for integrating OOPM with other software. This are criteria of choice that some companies I worked for had : - [FUNCTIONNALITY] Give access to the application through an API (UNO and components...). - [INTERFACE] Customize all the interface (allows companies to make the software feat the needs of their employees) and save it in a configuration file : * add buttons associated with some code (Star Basic, Java...). * customize the menus. * ... The following are more thoughts (not classified at all...) : - [FUNCTIONNALITY] Connect to LDAP to get the resources. - [LOOK & FEEL] allow to make references to other projects and create what we could call a "master document" (the same way OOo does). So a complex project could be represented by a "special task" summarized only some values (Work, duration). This would allow to create sub-projects... - [INTERFACE] use the Styles the way OOo do : each object (a windows, a resource, a task, a chart...) can be associated to a style. This style will act on the way the object is displayed (change the color...). It would allow to customise really easily the look of the application and keep the interface design of OOo. - [INTERFACE] Customize the windows interface the way QT designer does : you an have two kinds of display : the way Gimp looks like (many "floating windows", and the way photoshop does (one windows containing all the menus). - [CODE] Develop a common library to all the diferent projects software. This library would be designed to make all the analitic parts of the software (example of analitical questions : "minimize the cost", "minimize the delay"...)
