Well, I'm a little confused. Why do they need the commit access at all?
Is the conversion such a task that only people with commit could do
that? I don't likely understand it completely. Besides, it's a bit
surprising to read emails about handing over the task with commit. I
don't recall discussing it, either.
Let me put it straight, I'm very happy to see people who could help us
with the task, but I don't think anyone who would possibly step up and
tell us (s)he could do it, would earn commit right away.
