Some users think they need an account just to read, but that might not be the case with these users.
Helen: you have the procedure in your head, could you not simulate a new user, and verify it works ? I have no problem with the old automated procedure, as long as sysop understand the risk of a new spam attack (which are higher then 98%, now they know we can be attacked). Jan I.
