The basic Idea is to offer an extention multimedia functionality based on Gstreamer 0.1.0 API and one extention on 1.0.0 API. The core OpenOffice would not ship the multimedia functionality by default anymore. (As compiled without the gstreamer Flag) The user has to install the extention.
Depending on design of the extention itself maybe additional steps are required like the install of gstreamer itself. On the other hand we could also package gstreamer with the extention. Maybe depending on OS we could provide different strategies. Am 27.
