/Hello Marcus,/

/I don't use macros in my documents./

/The message appears too,when I create a new text document with/

/Writer, and try to save it, as follows:/

/Looking at this window it has a very basic look for the OK button.
I suspect that the rest of the system looks different?/

/I remember that I needed to install an additional package for Ubuntu to get the system wide look back for OpenOffice.
Unfortunately I don't remember the name of that package. Does anyone else?/

/Regards,/

/The file is saved, after I pressed the "OK"-Button./
/By opening the file, the message appears again:/

/
/It is really strange. *And this is only happening by the Writer-Tool.*/
/If I create a calculation-file with "Calc", and save it,/
/all works very fine./
/
/
/So far: I always put the Main-Tool and the Writer-Tool of OpenOffice to the dash, so I can use it very easy by clicking on it./
/Question:/
/You suggested, I should try to start Writer from Terminal./
/How can I do this? I am really not so familiar with all these commands./
/Best wishes Wolfgang/

great that it is now installing and working.

do you have macros inside the document? Please have a look via the
    menu
"Tools - Macros - Organize Macros - Basic" (German: "Extras - Makros -
    Makros verwalten - Basic")?
If so, it's up to you to decide if you still need them - then you have
to adjust parts to run correctly. Then there is good chance that the
document will open without error messages. Or to delete them.

Please make sure you have made a backup before deleting things
    that you
    still need.

    HTH

    Marcus
