Hi all,

I have created 2 test builds included the fix around bz 126990 https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=126990.

Until now if you save especially large files, AOO signals to early that a file has been saved. It does not wait for the OS to complete the save process.

Now we changed that. In addition the patch will now never overwrite the file. It will always store the file next to the previous version and then delete move in place.

that guarantees that at all cost work is preserved at the price that

- it takes longer to save.

- we need temporary more space

please review the change and provide me feedback if:

bz 126990 is solved by the bug.

and if the constrains, slower save time and the temporary additional needed space is acceptable.

Or do we need to change something.

Of course all other reports are reviewed if you test other things:

all the best
