OK, justification for an IM application would be "to send files between users". That makes sense. That does not mean OOo needs to ship this IM application. It can perfectly remain external. If they really want a company that impones nearly everything to its user base from the chat client to the video player, not forgetting the web server and the office suite, they can go to Microsoft. I realize you like your product very much. But trying to make it a standard with the help of OOo is not fair for its competitors. You would better try to promote it by letting the people know about it.
