Hi,
my mail first was written as a complaint on our StarOffice internal
board. I tried to get some internal answers on how to handle community
contributions where there is no clear statement whether and when the OOo
code will be included into StarOffice as well.
Then several people asked me to post this mail to OOo to encourage a
public discussion and to demonstrate that procedures like Spec Docs and
Feature Mails do matter.
I did not see a way to to make anonymous / to generalize this mail
without losing meaning. So you, Michael, became the public "victim" of
this complaint. Sorry for that.
And thank you for answering my questions. Now I know better how to
handle this new feature in the Help and other documentation.
When the Help module called helpcontent2 is not part of a CWS and the
Help does not get changed there, this means that the Help will be
changed in one of our Help CWSs. This will often delay the Help by
several builds. And that may lead to unnecessary issues about missing or
wrong Help, and issue-handling eats up our time. But this is another rant...
