Is there somewhere some more docu regarding the XML etc., e.g what are the dialogs you plan to convert first ... or is it all "use the source Luke"?

Not that I know of; I attach a simple sample or two; should be obvious.
Yes, it is.
We essentially re-use the (already 'stable') string names of the toolkit
property API as our attributes, and the string names of the controls as
our elements. That means we have no nasty tangled mapping code, and it's
fairly clean, comprehensible and generic (I hope).
Sounds perfect! More or less like the XAML to .Net mapping ...

whatever we will use in the future it will be important that we will have a GUI editor to make the design of new dialogs much more easier than today. Ideally a replacement for the basic dialog editor and make it more general for internal development as well as extension development (includes Basic as it does today). I think it is important to concentrate on one format everywhere and consolidate the different formats that we have today over time.
