Hi Heikki, I'm supportive of having a fairly strict policy surrounding performance regressions, keeping in mind that:
A) There are often unavoidable performance trade offs between item creation speed, item indexing for view rendering speed, and startup time B) Correctness should trump performance So I think we should probably note when a checkin is making a trade off or fixing a correctness issue.
