I would prefer just to skip the tests on Win32 and keep the test (and underlying implementation) around.

I was running SMOKE and I was getting random segfaults with that patch in the pool and *other* tests as well. Since I couldn't reproduce those at will, I wasn't posting about it. Now with that patch reverted SMOKE is clean, so skipping in only win32 is not the solution, as I had problems on linux too.


Remember, release is not about the tests, it's about releasing good stuff. If you skip the tests but people start using this broken functionality they will report bugs. Why wasting time on that.

Let's get the stable code out, and then fix that new thing and get it out in the next release.
