/opt is in "hard" in the code, but it can sure be possible to change for /Applications, more Mac OSX conform ;-)
in solenv/bin/modules/installer, if I'm not wrong
grep -rl "/opt" /$SRC_DIR/solenv/bin/modules/installer
will give you all, if I'm not wrong
The actual install location is then set inside of PackageMaker in the "Info" tab.
