Just a followup - I have now installed OOo1.9.m85 on a Mac OS X
10.3.5/X11.app configuration (I just stuck the folder at the root of the
hard drive, and copied Start_OOo2.0 there). The software launched fine (it
didn't seem slow unlike what other people reported). But I can't open any
files - I get an unrecoverable error every time I try, and OOo just
relaunches after the error. I did copy the folder from my other machine on
which the Java startup stuff had initially run (twice), even though OOo
itself didn't launch - I'm wondering if some paths set by the Java setup
are causing the problem - I will try a clean install.
