Currently there is no official OOo package that's Tiger ready. It is known that later milestone builds of current 680 series run
Unofficial** can : my m97 works fine on Tiger : I'm actually doing some QA tests...
I just have uploaded fr locale (but I have en-US and de too).
More important is to build m101+ and integrate all the planned changes Florian and me have to commit.
**What is official package ? :-)
While it may be true that the 000112_osx_final.dmg Installer will prompt for Panther CD #3 for X11.app, this is not a issue new to Tiger - many systems shipped with Panther on DVD - I did point this bug out to Ed a long time ago.
Yes, I remember
That's your problem <grin>. My build of OOo 1.1.4 works fine in Tiger.
Thank you. And you have no idea of what can happens ?
Eric B is currently installing his Mac OS X 10.4 and when he's done he will start to buid an 1.1.x for Mac OS X Tiger.
Florian Heckl currently reinstalls his Tiger and tries to build 680_m98 or m99 for Tiger using both gcc 4.0 and gcc 3.3.
I would expect some breakage with gcc 4.0 - I appreciate the work being done on this.
Yes, they're some problems. I have always some stuff to install before (Developer tools, fink probably, all other missing applications I don't think yet...)
Sorry but we got hands on Tiger on Friday so we couldn't begin the work earlier. We hope to have someone in ADC any time soon so that for the next major OS X we will have developerversions as early as possibel.
Some OpenOffice.org for Mac OS X developers have access to pre-release
Lucky man ... but not me, sure. We are so many OpenOffice.org for Mac OS X developers... :-)
builds of Mac OS X and Developer Tools, but it is often NDA's that prevent discussion/co-operation. There are other reasons...
Be sure Apple don't help. At least me : my Tiger version is paid (full price, with no reduction), of course with my money.
FYI, I have written 2 times to the only contact I know (I prefer not give his name here) , who wasn't enough polite to even anwser me.
Regards, eric bachard
