Thanks. I grabbed Ant from the Apache site, but I cannot find the part where I'm supposed to add Ant to the build.
Wherever you want. I'd just advice you inside the sources tree : external dir (made for this purpose) is IMHO the best choice...
The choosen place will be called ANT_HOME ( and after export -> $ANT_HOME ). Then, while configure, you have to add the following option : --with-ant-home=/path/where/apache-ant/is/installed
And if configure is successfull, other environment variables will be in your Macosxenv.Set.sh , build with $ANT_HOME :
$ANT=$ANT_HOME/bin/ant $ANT_LIB=$ANT_HOME/lib
The output says (or not) if ant works (or not) while configure. Be careful : this is true for OpenOffice.org build. I don't know for Neo. And last but not least, "configure --help | grep ant" will probably help you a lot ;-)
Last advice : after bootstrap, just source Macosxenv.Set.sh and you'll be able to use bash, more friendly than strange tcsh for the build... ;-)
I know I viewed the web
page somewhere in the last few days, but I did not bookmark it.
Also, which code are you building? Is it the OpenOffice_1_1_4 tarball or is is the mws_srx645?
I'm only using official cvs only and do builds for both 1.1.x (SRX645) and 1.9.xx (SRC645) Mac OSX ports and for Linux PPC ports (both 1.1.x and 1.9.xx).
About 1.9.xx (the future 2.0), I just finished to upload an experimental 1.9.101 (french) here : <http://ooo.lab-project.net/~ebachard/MacOSX/2.0/m_101/Tiger_fr/>
Since I'm still on Panther, I could not run it. However, I'm going to upgrade to Tiger very soon (the box arrived today.)
I'm a tester from waaaay back. Can you say OS/2 Warp? I think I have the Beta disks around here somewhere (I'm a computer packrat, that is I keep it forever and this has saved me a time or two.
This build is just for tests, and verify some last changes we have made in the code, with all other MacOSX port OOo contributors, of course.
If you want to test with us, you can use cvs and even test cws too. Feel free to ask how proceed : we have always a lot to do, and for a long time...Ok, in the Mel Brooks film "Blazing Saddles", "I must, I must!" I would like to know what I have to do. At the present time, I'm suffering building OOo 1_1_4 for MacOSX 10.3. Also, I will state that I'm on a very slow connection and it takes about 24 hours to retrieve a cvs release.
I would still like the configure line you used to build the 1.1.4 releases. And I reran the build again today, and udkapi still breaks. I did do a build -v of the module and I did not capture the output, but I could try again and post it as an attachment, but it will be very large. And I still need to find out how to set the environment variable to find out why I'm getting the free() error.Again, thanks for helping me get this done.
You're welcome :-)
Will the 1.1.5 code be able to support the OpenDocument format? This has been a topic of discussion over on the Neo/J forums.
**m54 is the latest Milestone for 1.1.x, and next will be 1.1.5
Again, thank you.
