Install, if you haven't already done so, X11 from Apple or XDarwin via fink, Darwinports etc. ppp. There are enough possibilities to get an X11 for Mac OS X.
Unfortunately, i don't have a Mac i can play with. Thank you for the detailed info on installation.
Another question concerns the use of Base on the Mac.
It works but I couldn't do a real stress test with it so far. Unless someone does it I cannot say more on this topic here. Maybe someone else?
It looks like there's a bug (issue 51928) that will keep us from using Base for this project, unless it magically gets fixed very soon. I will be kekeping my eye on Base for future projects, though.
