[porting-dev] [Mac OS X] Switching to Cocoa?

I read on the net that Eric B. proposed at OOoCon that the Mac OS X port 
be moved to Cocoa vice X11. 

Great idea and a long time in coming back to being built.  I think the 
emphasis to this (and Eric don't be afraid to provide the facts) is that 
the MacIntel version of MacOSX will not provide X11 support and will 
provide limited Carbon/Java support. 

Now I have to do more reading.  I have a WROX book on building MacOSX 
applications that I will dig through.
