I would definately like to help in that effort.  However, I'm not
directly working on gcc 4.0 builds at this time.  I noticed maveric's
comments on the build web page and I will get the cws and try to build
and test gcc 4.0 support.

I would agree with that.  X11 and a Mac version do not match.

Do they install/work with Tiger?  I think there was a problem with using
Panther builds on Tiger and vice versa.

WROX is a publisher of books.  I managed to pick up a book from them
called "Mac OS X Programming".  It may help with the effort, but I set
it aside for the household move.  I will be flying across the US next
weekend and I may bring it with me so that I can read through it.
They also maintain a web site for code downloads.
