After long and tedious whittling down NeoO's library files, I've determined that the problem occurred with an obviously corrupted writermenubar.xml in soffice,cfg. I can't prove it but I also suspect some failure link with dialog.xlc because it was missing in NeoO's user folder. Just speculating, but maybe because both Mac OOo and NeoO seem to use dialog.xlc that they were somehow crossed in transit and ended up corrupted? I dunno;You're the OOo mavens! I'm just glad to have NeoO up and running again without clicking the menu bar taking it down.
A nifty safety automatic feature for NeoO and OOo would place a backup total configurations/prefs file somewhere else on your disk.
