I have upgraded to 10.4.3 today and noticed that the
copy and paste problem seems to have been fixed. I can
now copy a shape from draw and paste it into a Writer
document. (Before I couldn't even paste the object if
it was outside the current document.)
Another major improvement is the cmd+tab to X11 has
now been fixed.
