I agree with this statement. I've found that there are folks out 'here' that are willing to
work through a given set of tests, even if they are manually run. I found a problem
with OpenOffice 2.0.1rc5 with Euro conversions on OpenDocument formatted
spreadsheets
which is now fixed with 2.0.2rc4. This is an example of where one person can
and will
help validate the existing manual smoketests and can add to them.
so yes .. pleas do ... if you like to write or comment on smoketests
please do. You may comment on issue 53051 (Sophie's draft for a base
test are attached there as well).
The problem is still where we would keep those tests .. TCM was a good
solution for managing testcases .. but is still (or again) under
development.
