There are bounds to what a single person can do - the person needs to
have access to Windows, Linux, MacOS and be proficient in all of the
components. And still l10n issues (especially with Asia langs) are
totally separate topic.

Currently "unconfirmed" is not the biggest problem our projects has. The
biggest problem is the fact that developers do not have enough resources
(or, in some cases, desire) to fix bugs and bug-o-features. Examples
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=15220
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=10931
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=1035
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=51564
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=29807

Trivial fixes (or huge usability problems) get ZERO attention, but
Vista-rediness task gets all the resources it needs, even though most
Vista fixes are cosmetic and majority of users will not be on Vista for
foreseeable future.

To add insult to injury, developers/ingeneering choose to remain silent
about their plans and reasons (for example, issues 10931, 51564).

This is depressing, demotivating and causes loss of interest in both QA
and users.

Yep, this is nice and makes tracking new issues much easier.

Kirill.
