Hi Sophie,
the TCM testing on CWS builds which contain the translated files should
be carried out for 2 major purposes
1) to test if the translated files delivered have been correctly
integrated and to check if there are any major issues that immediately
need to be fixed -> verification of translated files integration and
sanity check
2) to carefully test what needs to be fixed next release
For purpose 1, the deadline is approx. one week after CWS l10n builds
availability (can be less if the builds are not ready in time...), which
is the time when the CWS gets integrated into the master
For purpose 2, the deadline is 2 weeks after CWS l10n builds
availability. The issues - which are usually seen as minor issues - will
be fixed in the next release. This is why, in case necessary this
deadline can be extended one more week.
Please let me know if this answer your questions,
Rafaella

Dear All,
this is a reminder that it is important to start testing the builds
which contain the translated files you have submitted and that have
been integrated into the CWS localization 19.
Just a couple of Communities have signed for TCM l10n testing ... and
that's definitvely not very much: there are more than 40 langauges
that need to be verified.
I would like to open a discussion about qa l10n testing. The time
frame we add for testing this cws was very very short (only 4 days).
If I remember well, it was the same for 2.1.
We need at least one week to organize and perform this testing
correctly and provide a valuable feedback. When we put this process in
place (may be last year or the year before) we have stated on 2 weeks
for new teams and one week for experienced teams.
We (FR project) have done the tests out of the TCM because it would
have took even more time (windows version has come later than linux
one) and didn't find any stopper, only poor quality of some dialogs
where strings are truncated.
Would it be possible to let us one full week to run those tests ? I
didn't understand why we have changed the deadline from 8th to 1st of
February ?
Kind regards
Sophie
