Daer Andre,

I don't know, if you are addressing me. I'm not an expert in formulas, but this one is quite easy ;)

Excuse me for sending this to you, but I am still unsure what the correct channels are. I thought the attached would be of great interest to the team. I work at Stellenbosch University and was helping one of the students with writing a paper using MS Word. I use Open Office exclusively, so I wa ssurprised when I tried to edit the equations in his paper to find Equation Editor embedded in the paper, and it even passed through the translation into OO. If you click 2x on any of the formulae in the attache page, you will see what I mean. It would be great if something like this could be introduced onto OO.

It's already there. Go to Tools - Options, Load / Save - Microsoft Office. Check the box in column L for "MathType to OOo Math...". This will convert MathType objects to OOo Math objects on load. The default Setting is not to convert these objects to speed up the import and to keep the formulaes as close as possible to the original.

Best,

André
